2005 Golden Lamp Award Winner: Primary Source Readers
We are honored to receive the 2005 Golden Lamp Award for our Primary Source Readers. The Golden Lamp Award, from the Association of Educational Publishers (AEP), is the most prestigious award within the field of educational publishing. We are proud to be recognized for the second time in four years for providing the best instructional materials.
The Golden Lamp identifies superior use of content, design, and fulfillment of a product's educational mission. Judged by peers and experts, the awards provide an objective, authoritative evaluation of the products reviewed. "The significance of the AEP Awards has become twofold," said Charlene Gaynor, Executive Director of AEP. "Not only do they reward publishers with the recognition they deserve, more importantly they help parents and teachers identify the best educational products and publications available."
Primary Source Readers is a content-rich, age-appropriate program that complements social studies and language arts curricula. The lessons are based on the National Council for the Social Studies standards as well as language arts standards. This program serves as a crucial bridge between reading and writing and content-area material.
